The US Debut of the Bentley Supersports at FAT Ice Race Big Sky Showcases Luxury Performance and Innovation

Bentley made a dramatic statement in Montana as the sold-out Bentley Supersports delivered its US dynamic debut at the inaugural FAT Ice Race in Big Sky. The high-altitude winter motorsport event marked a major moment in Bentley’s new partnership with FAT International, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to performance, heritage, and luxury lifestyle experiences.

At the center of Bentley’s presence was the very Supersports featured in the brand’s “FULL SEND” film. Previously driven at speeds of up to 100 mph around Bentley’s Crewe campus by Travis Pastrana, the coupe took to the ice in Big Sky with professional racing driver Lia Block behind the wheel. Block, who collaborated with Bentley in the 2024 “Spur of the Moment” film, piloted the Supersports across the purpose-built ice track with minimal modification. Aside from the addition of 2.5 mm tire studs, the vehicle remained true to its production specification, underscoring the raw capability of Bentley’s most extreme grand tourer.
Mulliner Speed Six Continuation Series Highlights Bentley Heritage

Joining the Supersports was the “Factory Works” Speed Six Continuation Series, crafted by Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke and coachbuilding division. Finished in Bedford Grey with an Oxblood leather interior, the pre-war-inspired model exemplified Bentley’s commitment to heritage craftsmanship and modern precision engineering.
Laser-engraved floorboards featuring the signatures of the artisans who built the car added a bespoke touch, while Mike Sayer, Head of Bentley’s Heritage Collection, demonstrated the vehicle’s dynamic character on ice. The Speed Six Continuation Series served as a powerful reminder of Bentley’s racing pedigree and enduring legacy.
Bentayga X Concept Makes US Debut
Also debuting in the United States was the Bentayga X Concept, an off-road-focused vision based on the Bentayga Speed. Powered by a 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with permanent four-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission, the concept blends high performance with enhanced all-terrain capability.
Significant upgrades include forged 22-inch single-piece wheels, high-profile off-road tires, a 120 mm wider track, and a 55 mm increase in ride height. The result is nearly 310 mm of ground clearance and a wading depth exceeding 550 mm. Bentley Dynamic Ride, the brand’s 48V electric active anti-roll system, works alongside air suspension to maintain composure and comfort across varied terrain.

Functional exterior elements such as roof-mounted storage, auxiliary spotlights, twin front towing eyes, and a titanium Akrapovic sports exhaust reinforce the Bentayga X Concept’s adventurous character while preserving Bentley’s signature refinement.
Ahead of the FAT Ice Race, the Bentayga X Concept and Speed Six Continuation Series appeared at a dedicated Cars & Coffee gathering in Big Sky, drawing collectors and enthusiasts and strengthening Bentley’s presence in the region. Notably, this marked Bentley’s second visit to Big Sky in under a year, following the global media drive for the Bentayga Speed.

With its Supersports US debut, heritage continuation models, and forward-looking SUV concept, Bentley demonstrated in Big Sky that modern luxury performance extends well beyond traditional grand touring. The brand’s ongoing partnership with FAT International will continue later this year with a takeover of Mankei, FAT’s alpine base on Austria’s Grossglockner Pass, further expanding Bentley’s presence in the global luxury automotive landscape.
