This was done to mitigate the risk of the primary car being damaged during the extensive filming schedule. Both vehicles were adorned with a custom, gymkhana-inspired graphic design applied by the renowned artist Deathspray, and finished with bespoke, custom-painted 22-inch wheels. Critically, a pair of titanium skid blocks were mounted beneath the star car, engineered to produce the dramatic shower of sparks that feature prominently towards the film’s finale. Travis Pastrana generously agreed to participate in the project as the driver, and the filming dates were scheduled for 26–28 September 2025. Before filming could commence, every ‘scene’ was meticulously planned and choreographed to ensure the utmost safety for the vehicle, the driver, and the factory itself. Given the active nature of the factory as a production facility, the number of potential hazards was significant. Extra precautions were necessary to safeguard gas mains, fiber optic cables, water pipes, and even the factory’s main electrical power supply – all of which were located within inches of several of the high-speed driving locations. Scenes involving other vehicles – such as the car park chase sequence featuring Bentley’s Pikes Peak competitors, or the Brooklands burnout sequence – demanded additional coordination and included two professional precision drivers who worked alongside Travis. The filming process involved a substantial support team of over 100 individuals, divided between the professional production crew and supporting personnel drawn from across Bentley. The core filming crew comprised approximately 25 people, including two principal camera operators, two drone operators, two technicians for minicams, and a specialized three-person team operating a purpose-built tracking car modified from a first-generation Bentayga W12, complete with a hydraulic U-Crane arm. The support infrastructure included a 10-person team of location marshals responsible for ensuring that each filming location around the factory was completely sealed off, 25 vehicle specialists (divided into two teams), a factory support team, medical personnel, a fire crew, car wranglers, heritage car drivers, and a health and safety unit. Filming progressed almost without incident. Bentley’s Head of Product Communications and the Executive Producer for this project, Mike Sayer, commented: “The filming days were incredibly intense, but ultimately they were the most enjoyable we have ever experienced at the campus. We were fortunate to have favorable weather conditions, and the star car, the supporting vehicles, and all the teams involved performed to an exceptional standard. Despite the high-speed driving pushing the limits of performance, and speeds exceeding 120 mph, the only damage sustained to person or machinery was a single broken wing mirror! I am grateful to every single Bentley colleague who worked so diligently to deliver this unique project for us.” Following three days of filming and a rigorous three-month editing process – both led by the exceptionally talented director, Jon Richards – the completed film was released in January.
